Marble & Granite External Wall Cladding Restoration – Manchester

This project was undertaken for Hancock’s Jewellers, King Street, Manchester.
This prominent 19th Century building has a frontage clad in granite and marble. The repair work to this stone frontage was a major project, three weeks in completion.
We undertook screw and drill hole repairs to the frontage of building and completely re-ground all cladding; marble and granite, up to an 800 finish. The cladding was then resealed and a final clean and polish applied.

Floor Restoration Project -  Wirral

Here, a couple had a floor laid in a house in Prenton, near Tranmere, Wirral. . They had bought the floor tiles and someone laid them but this tile layer had not sealed the floor prior to grouting. As a result the grout soaked into the marble floor marked it quite badly.

We polished the floor to a 600 finish, applying a diamond grind, re-seal and a silk finish polish – the owners preferred this to a glass finish.

We also advised how to maintain the floor in good condition, providing the chemicals and recommending the correct machine to use. This is very important as we see many good floors damaged by people using the wrong floor cleaning and maintenance system

Retro Floor Repair Project

Pisani, the Birmingham based trade marble supplier commissioned us to undertake the retro floor repair. They had provided the flooring materials to the client, who employed a fixer to fix the floor.

As with the example given above, this fixer had not sealed the tiles after laying and so the floor became badly marked.

To resolve the problem, we cut this floor back to virgin finish, re sealed it and polished it to 800 grade – a high shine finish.
