The company was formed in 1964, (40 years trading). We initially worked with the largest Italian terrazzo tile manufacturer in the UK, Quiligotti of Manchester, on contacts throughout the UK and Europe.

Work involved new tile installation, expansion joints, duct covers, amt well frames, in situ non slip ramp areas for disabled, resurfacing, resealing, together with high surface finish, diamond polishing.

This work was carried out in shopping malls, supermarkets, food halls, hotels, car show rooms, hospitals, universities, airports, rail stations, bus stations, public office accommodation, together with domestic flooring – for details see Stone Tile Care Page.

From that experience, we now have a network of specialist teams working on stone floor installation refurbishment, maintenance and diamond polishing across the UK.

Our skilled work force draw on over 40 years of hands on experience, and are all taught in house.

Stone floors have a natural beauty, with various colours and veinage within the product and will enhance and increase the value of any premises; commercial, industrial or domestic.

These natural floors have longevity of life with the correct maintenance and cleaning regime - which we can provide. We are aware that damage can result from insufficient information and maintenance.

We have become aware, over a number of years, that clients introduce problems into their own home by their choice of tile fixer for the initial floor laying.

We cannot stress too strongly the importance of having a specialist natural stone tile layer for a stone floor. The right contractor is unlikely to be the one submitting the lowest quote. Stone fixers have the skills to lay natural stone floor tiles, which require specific sand, cement, floor grouting, in order to avoid voids within the grout lines.

Preparation and installation must be correct in the first instance, and unfortunately the only time you will know that you have an incorrect fix is when the work has completed. Signs of this are insufficient grout, joint lines to narrow, butting up of tiles where grout should be and the surface has been damaged during the installation. Consequently the end product is not what you envisaged. Then you need a specialist like ourselves, to rescue the installation which unfortunately will added cost to the original work.

Over the last 40 years, we have researched the market extensively for plant, equipment, materials and products to provide the best results.

We use Italian diamonds, Italian machines, which are not the lowest cost, but we find that they produce the highest level of finish to our works.

We train all our staff in-house, to a standard that has been developed over 40 years working within the construction industry, tile fixing, grouting, regrinding, resealing diamond polishing. We work with carbon stones, metal bonded diamonds, electro plated, bonded resin diamonds, which proves a finer grade, thus producing a glass like finish to the tile surface. We feel our expertise is a major plus factor in delivering the highest quality of work customer/client base.
