Doctors Surgery in St Helens, Merseyside

This Doctors’ surgery Terrazzo stone floor required in situ repairs to cracks, crack lines and drill holes. We used a carbon stone grind to remove the upper surface. We then applied a stone impregnator. This is a sealant which penetrates the stone surface and coats the capillaries with a thin invisible film. We then diamond polished the floor with electroplated and bonded resin diamond heads, for a beautiful polished finish.

Aberystwyth, Wales, Power Stations – Terrazzo Floor Restoration

For this project we worked on floors at three locations.

The first was at Rheidol hydro power station. Here the Terrazzo floor in the main visitor centre required significant attention.

The Terrazzo floors at Dinas Daom and Nant-y-noch Dam p power stations required refurbishment of the aprons and replacement of the brass apron edging strips.

Nottingham Convenience Store – Terrazzo Floor Restoration

This Terrazzo floor required restoration to joint lines and bolt holes, a common problem in convenience stores and supermarkets.

Here we cut out damaged joint lines and refilled with joint line compound.

We also cut out the Terrazzo floor at the entrance to accept a new mat well and made good the Terrazzo where the mat well was to be sited. The mat well was fitted by a specialist contractor.

Lancashire School Floor Restoration

The Terrazzo floor of the Bacup & Rawtenstall grammar school required refurbishment of the natural stone steps. We repaired 52 treads and risers and undertook in situ repairs to the Terrazzo floor, using resin with chippings.
